Fashion Clothing – What Fashion Designers Offer You

Types of Fashion Designs

Fashion designers usually depend upon textile designs to set their fashion collections as unique. These designs are the work of trained textile designers who design fabric weaves and prints for clothes and furnishings. There are essentially three categories of fashion design.

Haute couture: The high-fashion clothings, haute couture, is originally a French term meaning ‘high sewing’ but today it has come to represent high end fashion clothing which can cost anywhere between few thousands to few lacs of dollars. Created for specific clients with “made-to-measure” technique, they are usually made from high-quality, expensive fabric and sewn with great attention to detail and finish, often made with time-consuming, hand-executed methods. What is important in them is look and fit. Cost of materials and the time to make them doesn’t matter- they can go to any extreme. In fact, Haute couture is a protected term which can only be officially used by companies that are the members of and meet certain well-defined standards set by the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture. Many ready-to-wear, and even mass market labels, claim to manufacture haute couture but according to established standards, they do not.

Ready-to-wear: These garments are not made for individual customers, but then also, much attention is paid to select the proper fabrics and their cuts. To maintain exclusivity, only a small quantity of such garments are manufactured and as such they are comparatively expensive but not like haute couture. They are produced as ready-to-wear collections and presented during fashion weeks, usually twice in a year. These collections can be under fashion designers own labels or under label of any fashion company for whom designers have made it. They can include anything from day wear or evening wear for men, women, teenage, lingerie, sportswear, bridal wear to even accessories.

Mass market clothing: As the above two categories come in very high and high price ranges which can be afforded only by a small section of consumers, the fashion industry mostly depends on mass market sales. This market presents a very wide range of ready-to-wear clothes in large quantities and standard sizes. Most often, cheap material and simple machine production techniques are used but the designs represent creativity. This helps in producing affordable fashion for all. The designs are, however, adapted form the trends set by the famous names in fashion. As such, they hit the market after a season or two.

Hopefully, now you know what you can get in the fashion stores and how to differentiate among them. Happy shopping then!

Fashion In Clothes – An Expression Of Emotion

Fashion in clothes has allowed wearers to express emotion or solidarity with other people for millennia. Modern Westerners have a wide choice available in the selection of their clothes. When people who have cultural status start to wear new or different clothes a fashion trend may start. People who like or respect them may start to wear clothes of a similar style.

Design

Designs are difficult to protect in court, because they incorporate elements that are effectively in the “public domain. Designers in turn respond to this obsolescence with new designs. Although tailors and dressmakers were no doubt responsible for many innovations before, and the textile industry certainly led many trends, the History of fashion design is normally taken to date from 1858, when the English-born Charles Frederick Worth opened the first true haute couture house in Paris. Since then the professional designer has become a progressively more dominant figure, despite the origins of many fashions in street fashion.

At the same time there remains an equal or larger range designated (at least currently) ‘out of fashion’. Fashion houses and their associated fashion designers, as well as high-status consumers (including celebrities), appear to have some role in determining the rates and directions of fashion change. Haute Couture designers followed the trend by starting the ready-to-wear and perfume lines, heavily advertised in the magazines that now dwarf their original couture businesses. While brand names and logos are protected, designs are not. Smaller, boutique, designers have lost revenue after their designs have been taken and marketed by bigger businesses with more resources.

Designers

Designers and fashion magazine editors, who hire models, and executives for agencies that represent the young women, are skeptical that the profession can be regulated or monitored. In any given season, we see designers working on similar design themes that define the current mode. Young and unknown designers will be worst off, as they will not be able to afford the lawyers’ fees that will be part of the new price of admission to the industry. Fashion marketing and merchandising professionals are responsible for identifying and creating fashion trends to sell the products created by fashion designers. There are fashion designers who are making history from with innovative designs. New York City is home to some of the biggest designers. Individual designers’ shows are searchable under season and city.

Fashion and accessory designers use their knowledge of design principles, techniques, and tools to create sketches and models of original garments, shoes, handbags and other fashion accessories. Men wore loin-clothes while women were bare to the waist. As a result we find more and more men and women adopting the swadeshi clothes and designs. As of late the industry has started to use more realistic models so that they can defend themselves, but many are saying that clothes simply look better on skinny models, and it’s only about what the clothes look like, not the person inside of them.

Fashion & Clothes

Fashion and clothes are usually closely related to each other. Different people hold different ideas about clothes and fashion.

In the old days, people wear clothes only to keep warm and they do not have many choices due to the poor technology at that time. However, nowadays, people have a wide choice available in the selection of their clothes and what a person chooses to wear will reflect his or her personality, tastes, likes, mood and so on.

When celebrities or people who have cultural status start to wear new or different clothes, a fashion trend may start. People who like or respect them may start to wear clothes of a similar style. Therefore, many people regard fashion as to wear these new clothes. As a matter of fact, it is a mistake. Fashion, actually, is a very abstract concept. We can list some some examples of fashion, but we can conclude it to a certain form. In essence, it is a kind of style and ideas about life. It can be a living habit, a lifestyle,or the understanding of the life.

Different ages, different living circles, different occupation, and geography shares different opinions on fashion and clothes.

The teens prefer clothes that reprents their individual characters and they are longing to show their unique characters. While the celebrities would like to wear clothes that are in concordance with their wealth and status, clothes of all brand names would be within their choice. (By the way, several days ago, I encounter some brand name clothes, handbags, watches online. Arabia could not wear the same clothes as people from Japan. And they have their own fashion clothes.

Well, to me, the most important thing is that the clothes I wear shall reflect my personalities. Of course, we wear different clothes on different occasions. Different clothes can displays the different aspect of your characters. It is unnecessary to follow some celebrities to swim in the fashion. If we have our own taste and style, the only thing you need to do is to display yourself, dress what you like. That would be fashionable in others’ eyes. Therefore, fashion, in my eyes, is to show our own personality and share our ideas for life in our own way.
